What we do
Our bathroom refurbishment services cover everything from the initial planning to the final touches. No matter the size of your project, we have the skills to bring your vision to life.
If you want a bathroom where there isn't one, we can build it. That might be an en-suite carved from a large bedroom, a downstairs cloakroom under the stairs, or a bathroom in a new extension or garage conversion.
Design choices
A large shower tray with a fixed glass screen. Easy to clean, and a good choice when you want to replace a bath with a bigger shower.
The whole floor is tanked and slopes gently to a drain, with no tray at all. They look sleek and suit anyone who finds stepping into a shower difficult, but they need careful waterproofing and a floor that can take the fall to the drain.
Freestanding baths make a statement in a larger room, while a fitted bath with a shower over it makes the most of a smaller space. If you're likely to sell, keeping a bath somewhere in the house is usually wise.
Small spaces
Because we're builders and carpenters, we can build boxing, niches and storage to fit the room exactly.
Behind the scenes
Water that gets behind tiles causes rotten floors, loose tiles and damp in the rooms below. We use water-resistant boards and tank the areas around showers and baths before any tiles go on, and we seal around trays and fittings properly.
Building regulations set minimum extraction rates for bathrooms, and a good extractor fan keeps condensation and mould at bay. We'll make sure yours is the right size and vents outside.
Pricing
The size of the room, how much tiling you want, and whether the layout changes have the biggest effect. Moving the toilet, bath or shower means new waste pipes and water supplies, and a wet room needs extra preparation to the floor.
The suite itself can vary a great deal in price, and extras such as underfloor heating, heated towel rails and built-in storage add to the total. We set each item out in your quote.
Why choose us
Most bathroom problems come from what you can't see: poor waterproofing, weak floors or rushed preparation. Because we are builders first, we fix what is underneath before anything new goes on top.
We know that refurbishing a bathroom can feel daunting, but our friendly team will guide you through every step to make it a breeze.
Areas we cover
We refurbish bathrooms and build new en-suites across south and mid Essex, from Southend and Leigh-on-Sea to Hockley, Hullbridge, Wickford and Brentwood.
